Is it too late to make a Valentine’s Day joke? Today’s comic is six panels since I didn’t really do one for Monday. As a result of trying to complete six panels in half the time it takes to do a normal comic though, it feels a little rushed.

Obviously this strip did not happen exactly like this since Samantha is in New York and not Austin, and in actuality I think Solomon probably understands the power of drawing something as gift for somebody more than anyone. But it does raise a great question: when none of the V-Day cards suffice, is it acceptable to make one yourself or is this a “cop-out” of sorts? Personally I prefer drawing something nice as opposed to throwing away $2-$4 on something totally lame. Sometimes it is just possible to do better than the card companies. But what do you all think?
